Electronic Recycling System Installation – International Project

  • Installation & Plant Relocation

When a major electronic recycling facility in Taiwan needed a complete processing system installed, they subcontracted Anton Installers to handle the heavy rigging, precision installation, and technical complexity of the project. With a six-month timeline to install and commission a complete recycling line halfway around the world, the project demanded meticulous planning, expert execution, and unwavering commitment to safety standards. Our crew traveled to Taiwan and delivered a fully operational system on schedule.

What Needed to Be Done

The client needed a complete electronic recycling processing system installed in their Taiwan facility. Our scope included assembly and installation of a steel belt conveyor system, a dual-shaft shredder requiring precision alignment, product movement chutes, life safety apparatus, and a dust collection system with compressed air piping for air handling.

The dual-shaft shredder was the centerpiece of the operation—and the most demanding piece of equipment. Proper alignment, anchoring, and assembly were critical to system performance and longevity. Any misalignment would lead to premature wear, operational failures, and costly downtime.

Heavy equipment rigging was required throughout the project. Each piece needed to be positioned, leveled, anchored, and integrated into the processing line. The compressed air system for dust collection had to be routed efficiently and installed to support continuous operation in a high-volume recycling environment.

All work had to meet the highest safety standards—both for our crew working overseas and for the facility’s long-term operational safety.

How We Made It Happen

We started with comprehensive planning before our crew left for Taiwan. Equipment placement, rigging strategies, anchor point locations, and installation sequences were all mapped out in advance. When you’re working internationally on a six-month timeline, there’s no room for guesswork or delays caused by poor preparation.

The dual-shaft shredder installation required precision millwright work. We rigged the components into position, performed detailed alignment using laser equipment, and anchored the shredder to engineered specifications. The tolerances were tight—this equipment processes thousands of pounds of electronic waste daily, and any misalignment would compromise performance and safety.

Steel belt conveyor assembly and installation progressed systematically. Sections were assembled, positioned, and aligned to ensure smooth material flow from the shredder through the processing line. Product movement chutes were fabricated and installed to direct material efficiently between system components.

Life safety apparatus was installed throughout the facility, ensuring proper emergency shutdown capability and operator protection. The dust collection system was integrated with compressed air piping to handle airborne particles generated during the recycling process—critical for both air quality and regulatory compliance.

Fabrication and welding work was performed as needed to support equipment installation, create custom mounting solutions, and ensure structural integrity throughout the system. Every weld, every anchor point, and every alignment check was performed to the highest safety standards.

Six months after arrival, the system was operational. The shredder ran true, the conveyors moved product smoothly, and the dust collection system kept the facility air clean. The client had a fully functional electronic recycling line—installed to spec, on schedule, and built to last.
